Grade 6 Social Studies Project Update

1.Original Video Conference Topics - Turned Power Point Presentations
Topics include: Candian Culture - Quebec - Nafta - etc
Due: Thursday Feb 15 - We will present the powerpoints in the science lab - have your project saved on my memory stick
2. Refugee suitcase
Must be saved on my memory stick - Tuesday Feb 13 - by the end of the class
They will be presented after all of the powerpoints are finished.

** New Project** Do one of the following topics
1. Research an element of pop culture , such as fast food or music, that has spread around the world. Prepare a visual presentation to demonstrate how it has become a part of global culture.
2. Reseach Canadian musicians who are known around the world. Then create a visual presentation to show how these musicians are a part of global culture.

Due date will be announced following the end of the refugee presentations.
