2. Read - The effects of National Policy - textbook pages 158-159
3. Summarize the intent (Intent - is what people hope will happen as a result of their actions)of each of the three main parts of the National Policy (Increasing trade within Canada, Encouraging Immigration, and the Canadian Pacific Railway)
4. Research the Canadian Pacific Railway - present atleast 5 interesting facts
5. Research the Chinese Railway Workers - Present you findings (see pg 157)
6. Summarize problems in the west - How did the government respond
7. Summarize problems in the east - How did the government respond
8. Summarize what you have learned about this time in Canada
9. How is Canada now different from Canada back then (think of jobs and ways of life)
