• Give a synopsis of Louis Riel (who was he?, what conflicts did he have and with whom?, what was his outcome?) (5)
• Explain disagreements between the government and First Nation "Rebels" (what did the governement want from these people? Why were they rebelling? What was there outcome?) (3)

• Describe the policy of Assimilation (what is the goal of assimilation? Describe your feeling on assimilation? How would you feel if you were forced from what you believe in?) (3)
• Describe the role of Indian Affairs - what is the current Indian Act? (2)
• Describe the Set up of Band Governements and Economic Control? How were these a means of assimilation? (2)
• Research Residential Schooling in Canada - Why were they created, who attended, find a story of the outcome of residential school? What would it be like for you to go to a Residential school, how would you feel? (5)
• What is the outcome of Assimilation, did it work or not - give your own feelings? (3)
• How did the experiences of the First Nation and Inuit in Newfoundland and Labrador compare with the experiences of First Nations in the Maritime Provinces? (2)
